Major astrological events

• Total solar eclipse conjunct Chiron+New moon in Aries on April 8th (today!) 🌕🌑. 

What this means: This solar eclipse, combined with the new moon moving into the sign of Aries (during Aries season!!!!,) could indicate fresh starts, new beginnings, purging all that no longer serves us. This is an opportune time to set goals, plan for the future, and establish a plan of action for the future. Many of us have likely been forced to end a recent chapter of our lives. This could have manifested in a relationship breakup, a job loss or change, a big move, etc. Aries is the first of the 12 zodiac signs, bringing fresh, confident energy to the table that isn’t too easily influenced by outside influences.

Boldness will feel like a major theme right now, as the eclipse + new moon in Aries might have you doing or saying things you wouldn’t normally do, pushing you out of your comfort zone toward who you’re truly meant to be, no matter how intimidating it may feel, this change is likely inevitable. Now is also a time to connect to your identity outside of your job and relationships and explore yourself, your interests, and your desires and nourish them. The eclipse being conjunct Chiron means this will be a time to address old wounds and past hurts that can no longer be ignored. A lot of emotions are likely to surface, but we can use this energy to fuel our transformations, because it is often through struggle that we gain the strength and motivation to step into our power. The overall vibe will probably feel quite intense and difficult to handle at times, so try to engage in activities that are relaxing and grounding. 🧘‍♀️ 

• Mercury Retrograde through April 25th 😱 

What this means: Mercury went retrograde in the sign of Aries on April 2nd and will remain in retrograde until April 25th. Mercury in the sign of Aries is represented by taking the initiative, asserting oneself, leadership, and even constructive confrontation and criticism. However, when Mercury goes retrograde, these energies and behaviors can be directed inappropriately and may influence some of us to be more domineering, confrontational, and even antagonizing. Remember that Mercury is the planet of communication and verbal and written self-expression, and when it goes retrograde, we should be more mindful of our interactions with others and ourselves (self-talk!) Triple-check emails and important documents before sending them out, because mistakes and errors tend to occur more during this period. Also, try to think before speaking and be mindful of other people’s emotions and potential reactions. Be wary of signing any contracts or making major commitments, and instead, use this time to organize your life and get everything in order.

• Venus entered Aries on April 5th ❤️ ♈

What this means: Venus is the planet of love, relationships, beauty, harmony, and pleasure. Venus is not exactly “at home” when it’s in Aries, Venus is in its detriment. During this time, be mindful of the level of intensity increasing in your romantic relationships. You or your partner(s) may be feeling more on edge and feisty until Venus enters its home sign of Taurus on April 29th. Once this happens, a calmer, more harmonious vibe should prevail in romantic and platonic relationships.
