Your Stellar Truth: November 19th, 2024

This Week In the Stars

The week/month’s astrological happenings

Pluto enters Aquarius on Nov. 19th and will remain in this sign until 2044

Pluto is wrapping up its 16-year cycle in Capricorn and will move into Aquarius today! Yes, you heard that right, TODAY!!!!

Many of us are jumping for joy right now, especially people with Cardinal sign placements in their big three (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn.) Since 2008, people with heavy Cardinal energy have been going through it, being that Pluto, the planet of death, rebirth, and transformation, has been in Capricorn, a Cardinal sign, for a significant amount of time.

During this period, Cardinal Signs have experienced situations and interactions that have forced them to let go and release control, as well as face inner tension, having to make difficult decisions, go through challenging power dynamics, and start over from zero.

Although my sun sign is in a fixed sign (Scorpio), my moon is in Libra and my ascendant is in Capricorn, I can tell you that for me, the last 16 years, especially the earlier half, have been intense, painful, and scary. However, these experiences have made me wiser and more resilient. I feel like I’ve transformed more than once during this period. I’ve also spoken to many clients, friends, and family members with Cardinal Signs in their big three, and they report having gone through similar experiences.

In a previous newsletter, I discussed how Capricorn deals with structure, foundations, and systems, whereas Aquarius is more progressive, innovative, and future-oriented. This Fixed Air sign is a visionary thinker, and community-oriented yet independent at the same time. Aquarius is unconventional and unafraid to go against the grain if it means that it will be better for the collective in the long run.

The Pluto in Capricorn era was crazy and messy because Pluo seeks to transform while Saturn-ruled Capricorn is associated with authority, governments, structures, institutions, and foundations. It wants things to last and to leave a legacy. This energy doesn’t mesh so well with Pluto, which wants to tear down these structures and build them back better. During these last 16 years, We have gone through multiple global financial crises, a massive technology/AI boom, mass global uprisings, the normalization of smartphone usage, wars, genocides, and conflicts in various parts of the world, the COVID-19 pandemic, the advent of content creation, mobilized efforts against the systems/structures in place, and more. This period has been characterized by a desire for change but also tremendous resistance to that change, from governments, global institutions, and members of society.

The Pluto in Aquarius era will be drastically different. We will see more work shifting online, more people opting to start their own online businesses, a stronger pursuit of work-life balance, and more prioritization of community. The Pluto in Capricorn era made people more skeptical of those in power and the status quo. We can expect to see more and more people turn to spirituality and join grassroots movements that oppose authoritarianism. Technology will continue to develop albeit more rapidly than it already has been in recent years. There will be some downsides to the Pluto in Aquarius transit, including the potential for more social isolation due to greater reliance on the internet and social media, greater political polarization due to social media/internet algorithms, and technocratic control.

In Practice: [practical actions to take to harness these energies in your life]

To understand how Pluto in Aquarius will affect you, look at the house in your birth chart that is ruled by Aquarius. Where Aquarius is in your chart shows the area of life where you will transform the most.

Aquarius 1st House (Aquarius Ascendant): During these next 20 years, you will experience profound transformation relating to your personal identity and physical appearance. You may reinvent yourself at some point and become more noticeable and influential.

Practical Tip: Answer the following questions in a journal prompt: How has your identity evolved over the past five years? What parts of yourself are you eager to embrace and what parts of yourself are you ready to let go of?

Aquarius 2nd House (Capricorn Ascendant): Your financial situation can completely change, for better or for worse. You could also be compelled to re-evaluate your values and develop a greater sense of self-worth. You may also discover additional sources of income and paths to monetizing your skills and talents.

Practical Tip: Spend 5-10 minutes per day visualizing your ideal financial situation: What does your career or income stream look like? Are there any specific industries, roles, or opportunities that resonate with your birth chart? What does your lifestyle look like?

Aquarius 3rd House (Sagittarius Ascendant): The way you interact with your local community can change significantly during this period. Moreover, your thought patterns and the way you learn can also transform. Communication/writing abilities can become heightened as well.

Practical Tip: Answer the following questions in a journal prompt:

1.What specific steps can you take to become more involved with your local community?

2.What skills, talents, and resources can you offer that can benefit members of your community?

3.What would you like to learn through working with your local community?

Aquarius 4th House (Scorpio Ascendant):  Family, home, and ancestry could be significant focal points during the Pluto in Aquarius era. You might relocate, start a family, and dive into ancestral healing practices.

Practical Tip: Answer the following questions in a journal prompt:

1.Part of feeling at home is having a sense of belonging. Compare a setting where you felt like you belonged vs. one where you felt like you didn’t belong. What factors contributed to your sense of belonging and which ones made you feel out of place?

2.Reflect on the stories you've heard about your ancestors. What do these stories reveal about their lives, struggles, triumphs, and values, and how can you honor their memory through your own actions, values, and relationships?

Aquarius 5th House (Libra Ascendant): Your creativity/creative endeavors may be at the forefront during this period. You might use self-expression to transform your current situation. If you’re single, your dating and romantic life could shift drastically.

Practical Tip: Create something that reflects your essence. This could be a painting, a drawing, a poem, a story, a dance, a song, or something else-creativity has no limits!

Aquarius 6th House (Virgo Ascendant): Your health and daily routine can be seriously shaken up during this period. Perhaps you start to take managing your health more seriously or you transform your routine to feel healthier and revitalized.

Practical Tip: Start keeping a “Health Journal” to track how different foods, substances, and actions make you feel physically and mentally. This should enable you to listen to your body more!

Aquarius 7th House (Leo Ascendant): You will likely experience big changes around your committed partnerships. If you’re single, this could mean getting into a committed relationship. You also have the potential to transform through relationships and be compelled to let go of certain relationships This can also apply to close friendships and business partnerships.

Practical Tip: Answer the following questions in a journal prompt:

1.What relationships are you grateful for? How have those connections positively impacted your life?

2.Think about an ideal friend or partner, what qualities do they possess? How do they communicate? What do they value/prioritize? How do they make you feel overall?

Aquarius 8th House (Cancer Ascendant): The 8th House governs more private areas of life, including the psyche, shared resources, intimacy, and occult/taboo topics. Therefore, those with their ascendant in Cancer could undergo a deep transformation relating to their mental health, shared resources/finances, and could also immerse themselves in more unconventional circles.

Practical Tip: Answer the following questions in a journal prompt:

1.What outdated beliefs about intimacy, shared power, or control am I ready to release?

2.How has my relationship with change and transformation evolved over time? What breakthroughs am I ready to embrace?

3.What places might empower me to embrace personal reinvention, heal emotional wounds, or tap into unconventional methods of growth and healing?

Aquarius 9th House (Gemini Ascendant): Your worldview and belief system could undergo significant transformation during this period. You may have a strong desire to learn and empower yourself and others by acquiring new knowledge. You may also transform through travel experiences or moving abroad being that the 9th house rules long-distance travel.

Practical Tip: Answer the following questions in a journal prompt:

1.Write about a memorable encounter you had during one of your travels. What did you learn from the experience, and how did it impact you?

Aquarius 11th House (Aries Ascendant): Your role in communities and friend groups could transform during Pluto’s transit in Aquarius. This will be especially prominent for you since the 11th House is an Aquarius House by default. You may immerse yourself in communities that better reflect your values and belief system. Furthermore, you may also find that you have a greater influence and impact on your community.

Practical Tip: Answer the following questions in a journal prompt:

1.What does community mean to you? Reflect on how can you build community

3.Have you identified location(s) based on your astrocartography that would be beneficial for community-building?

Aquarius 12th House (Pisces Ascendant): The 12th House, much like the 8th House, deals with more private areas of life. However, the 12th House takes us even deeper, as it rules spirituality, isolation, and the unconscious mind. During this period, those with Aquarius ruling over their 12th House may experience a spiritual awakening, or simply have a lot of repressed thoughts and experiences come to the surface. They could also experience deep healing and become more interested in the intangible/metaphysical.

                  Practical Tip:

1.Try to do a deep, silent meditation. What thoughts and feelings come up for you? Write this down

2.Is there a place on Earth where you feel called to travel to for spiritual renewal? Look into your astrocartography to find somewhere in alignment with more spiritual pursuits.
